ABSTRACT
A spiral turbine driving solar trough power generator, with hydrogen fuel producer, comprise solar trough concentrators, a large clusters of straight mirror array, mounted on the parabolic trough surface, a non-conventional spiral steam turbine engine, a high magnet density electric generator, a hot hydraulic flow circulating plumbing system, a sun tracking and electro following system, a water electrolyzing system, and detach-able gas containers, storing compressed hydrogen fuel, and oxygen gas; a hot fluid exchanger, rising warm water and warm air. Comparing to high cost photovoltaic solar cell, maximum 18% efficiency ratio, this system breaks and far beyond the world record 37% solar-to-electric conversion ratio. This scaleable power station is self contained, multi functional, low cost construction and small size, good for homeowners and business owner use, as well as Grid-connected application. Besides, it works at cloud day, low solar power is need to electrolyze water H2O to Hydrogen gas, and oxygen gas for massive accumulation. Hydrogen gas can power fuel cells to generate electricity or power automobile to substitute gasoline, butane, propane in the future. Oxygen can be used in medical care, industries, interior air improvement etc. We have now a cost effective conversion system to obtain unlimited energy power source from unlimited solar and water, no more worry oil shortage on earth.

Common large solar power systems generate electricity and store thermal heat energy at daytime. During nigh time, thermal heat energy releases to water boiling system and continue to product steam power. The problem is that heat storage is difficult to preserve thermal energy from lost. A Rapid Water Electrolyzing Catalyst System As we know, the most abundant resource is water and salt water. As everyone know, water can be electrolyzed by DC direct current electricity. We can get hydrogen gas and oxygen gas. How Does The Linn's Solar System Work ?

Solar ray is concentrated at the parabolic trough long focal line up to 40 times brighter. A cluster of focal tubes placed there are heated up to 300 o C to 400 o C. Corrosion-free water flow going through the focal tubes is charged to high pressure steam, up to 10 bar at the focal pipelines. High pressure boiling steam pushes the spiral turbine spinning, and discharges its energy to mechanical rotation power. steam then retract to water or low pressure vapor from the turbine exhaust pipe. A water pump behind the turbine sucks the exhaust water recirculation to another side of the solar trough focal line called the cool end side. Recycle water repeat the next cycle heat charge and pressure discharge. The charge and discharge work flow principle is a bit similar like a gas turbine in a jet airplane. The long focal tubes are equivalent to combustions of the gas turbine. The hot water pump is equivalent to the intake air compressor assembly. The sun ray energy is equivalent to the kerosene fuel. The spiral turbine is equivalent to after burn turbine. As the steam water circulates faster, the turbine will rotate faster. The rotation RPM speed is depended on the collected sunray temperature on the focal pipelines, length of the pipelines, the flow volume etc. The spiral turbine with the water pump can self sustain at high speed rotation during a sunny daytime. |
